San Carlo Restaurant – Alderley Edge

What began as a modest refurbishment of the restaurant’s bar area quickly evolved into a comprehensive interior transformation once works commenced on site. As the vision for the project expanded, so too did our involvement, resulting in the delivery of a wide range of bespoke natural stone features throughout the restaurant.

The original marble bar refurbishment grew significantly in scale, with the main bar ultimately extending to almost three times its initial size. Fabricated in striking Rojo Alicante marble, the bar was finished with an intricate double bullnose edge profile, carefully crafted to enhance both the elegance and durability of the design.

This stunning marble was also specified for the flooring within both restroom areas, creating a seamless sense of luxury throughout the space. Bespoke vanity tops were produced to complement each setting, featuring pink marble within the ladies’ restroom and Verde marble within the gentlemen’s, each finished with a refined 20mm bullnose edge detail.

Verde marble was further incorporated throughout the main restaurant, including the waiter stations, reception desk and a statement dining table designed for larger groups. Consistent detailing across each element ensured a cohesive aesthetic and reinforced the sophisticated character of the interior.

This project was particularly rewarding for our team, as every stone element was bespoke and manufactured precisely to the designer’s specifications. The intricate detailing demanded exceptional levels of craftsmanship, precision and attention to detail at every stage of the fabrication process.

Working to a demanding programme, with the restaurant required to reopen by a fixed date, we collaborated closely with both the client and design team to ensure every deadline was met. Through careful planning and expert execution, we delivered a finished result that maintained the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail without compromise.
